Routine cases like single crowns: 2–3 days in-lab. Complex cases like multi-unit bridges, implant restorations, and full-arch work: 5–7 days. Add 2–4 days for ground shipping. Rush service available for select cases.

If a case comes back wrong because we misread the margin, contact, occlusion, shade, or fit, we remake it at no charge, shipping both ways. Adjustments on screw-retained implant crowns are covered for the first 60 days after delivery.

A full-service dental laboratory handles the full range of restorative and prosthetic work under one roof — crowns, bridges, dentures, implant components, night guards, and orthodontic appliances.

Crown & Bridge

Single-unit zirconia, E.max, porcelain-fused-to-metal (PFM), full-cast noble and base-metal. Anterior and posterior. Layered or monolithic.

Implant Restorations

Screw-retained and cement-retained implant crowns on Ti-base, UCLA, and custom abutments. Full-arch hybrids in zirconia, PFM and PMMA.

Removable Prosthetics

Complete dentures, immediate dentures, overdentures on locator attachments, Valplast and cast-metal partials, full digital dentures.

Dental Veneers

Zirconia (Layered or monolithic) and E.max veneers for anterior esthetic cases. Ultra-thin or conventional designs, with custom shade and morphology.

Night Guards & Splints

Hard-acrylic occlusal guards, soft/hard dual-laminate, anterior deprogramming splints, TMJ stabilization splints. 3D-printed or milled from PMMA disc.

Orthodontic Appliances

Hawley retainers, clear Essix-style retainers, expansion appliances, and indirect bonding trays, designed to support a wide range of orthodontic cases.

Materials Our Dental Laboratory Work With

The material you choose changes the lab schedule, the fee, and the chairside behavior. Here is what we stock, what each one is best for, and where we draw the line. What we don’t use: third-party relined dentures, white-label generic zirconia of unverified origin, or any material we cannot trace to a lot number in our inventory system.

Zirconia (Full contour and Layered)

Monolithic for posterior crowns, bridges, and full-arch hybrids where strength matters most. Layered for anteriors where shade depth and translucency are the priority. Sintered in-house from medical-grade zirconia blanks. Indicated for single units, multi-unit bridges, screw-retained implant crowns, and full-arch frameworks.

E.max (Lithium Disilicate)

Pressed or milled. The default for anterior single units and small-span bridges where translucency and bonding matter more than raw strength. Less suited to dark-shaded preps or patients with heavy bruxism — we flag this on the Rx before fabrication.

Porcelain-Fused-to-Metal (PFM)

Still the right call for some long-span bridgework and cases with a deep subgingival margin. Noble and base-metal alloys available. We layer porcelain over the framework by hand.

PMMA

Used for full-arch provisional hybrids, try-in dentures, implant verification jigs, and night guards. Milled from PMMA disc or 3D-printed, depending on the indication. Not for definitive full-arch restorations.

Full-cast Alloys

Gold, palladium, and base-metal. For full-cast crowns and metal frameworks where alloy-specific behavior is required.

PVS and Digital Impressions

We accept both. Physical impressions are boxed, pinned, and scanned in-house. Intraoral scans from iTero, 3Shape Trios, and Medit arrive as STL or PLY.

Craftsmanship & Technology

ASD dental lab completes all nine production steps in-house at our Shenzhen and Huizhou facilities. No case is outsourced to third-party laboratories. Here are the core capabilities that make this possible.

Digital Design

Approximately 100 CAD designers working in Exocad and 3Shape. Every designer has two workstations, calibrated weekly. Design parameters — margin line, contact tightness, occlusal clearance, emergence profile — are logged before the case enters production. For implant cases, abutment selection is reviewed at this stage.

Subtractive Manufacturing (Milling)

5-axis dry mills for zirconia. Wet mills for lithium disilicate and PMMA. Each milled blank is matched to a material lot number that follows the case through every subsequent step. Tool wear is tracked per spindle; cutters are replaced on a fixed cycle rather than waiting for visible defects.

Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing)

LCD-based printers for resin models, surgical guides, and provisional restorations. Printed models serve as the physical reference for contact checking, try-in fit, and final QC. Guide resin is surgical-grade, traceable to ISO 10993 biocompatibility certification.

Sintering & Staining

Zirconia sintering in calibrated furnaces with documented temperature profiles. Shrinkage compensation factors are built into the CAM program; post-sintering, the framework is checked against the printed model for passivity. Staining and characterization for monolithic cases that need shade depth beyond the blank’s base color.

Hand Layering and Finishing

Approximately 70 ceramic technicians for porcelain layering on PFM frameworks, layered zirconia anteriors, and full-arch esthetic cases. This is where individual tooth characterization happens — mamelons, surface texture, incisal translucency. Glazing and polishing by hand under magnification.

Quality Control and Traceability

25-person QC department. Every case passes through a microscope check at 10× magnification: margin fit, contact tightness, occlusion on the printed die, shade verification against the Rx. A photo of the finished restoration is taken before packing and stored in the case file.

A four-step flow, with a documented SLA at every step and the same technician in step 3 across every case.

Open an account. 10-minute online form. You’ll get an account manager and the name + photo of your dedicated technician within one business day.
Submit a case. Upload intraoral scan + Rx through your portal, or print a shipping label and send traditional PVS impressions via UPS.
Production + QC. Your dedicated technician handles design, framework try-in if needed, finish, and microscope-assisted QC. You’ll get a photo of the finished case before it ships.
Delivery. DHL / FedEx / UPS ground with insurance, tracking, and photo on delivery. 60-day remake guarantee on lab-side error.

What You Can Count On

We will not rotate your technician. The technician who handles your case on day 30 is the same one you’ll see on day 300.

We will not guess on your Rx. Every prescription is logged line by line before the case enters production. Margin, contact, occlusion, shade, material, abutment type, cement/retainer choice — all checked twice. If something looks off, we contact you before milling.

We will fix our own mistakes free. Lab-side error, remake is free, including shipping both ways. No charge for adjustments on screw-retained implant crowns within 60 days of delivery.

We will be honest about cross-border work. Cross-border isn’t friction-free. We shrink the friction with a dedicated technician, documented SLAs, rush cases, and tracked shipping on every order.

We will give you clinical feedback. If a scan shows a margin gap, an impression drags at the prep, or the bite registration has a question, we tell you.

Quality & Compliance

A dental laboratory is treated by the U.S. FDA as a custom-device manufacturer and is subject to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Quality System (QS) requirements. The same logic applies in most jurisdictions where our work ends up.

Do you visit with your patients in person, or do you only send digital cases?

We accept both. Conventional PVS impressions are boxed, pinned, and scanned in-house. Intraoral scans from iTero, 3Shape Trios, and Medit arrive as STL or PLY files. There is no difference in turnaround or fee between the two workflows once the case is in production.

What if the patient changes their mind after the design is approved?

We flag design questions before milling, so this is rare. If it does happen, we restart the design step at no charge. Material already milled (zirconia, lithium disilicate) is non-recoverable and would be billed at cost; lab time on the redesign is on us.

Can I specify the technician who works on my cases?

Yes. If you have a preference (a particular shade specialist, an implant designer you’ve worked with before, or a removable technician), tell us at account setup. We do not rotate technicians across accounts without notice, and we accommodate preferences wherever the workload allows.

Do you handle surgical guide planning and printing?

Yes. We accept CBCT + intraoral scan pairs, plan the guide in Exocad, and 3D-print the guide in surgical-grade resin. Turnaround is 5–7 days for a single guide, longer for multi-guide cases.

What happens if I need to talk to someone about a case in progress?

Your account manager is reachable on overlapping global business hours. For an in-progress case, the case coordination team responds same day. For a clinical question on a case already in production, we put you in direct contact with the technician handling it.

Can you white-label cases for my own lab or DSO?

Yes. Branded packaging, branded Rx forms, and NDAs are all available. White-label and OEM arrangements are how many of our laboratory partners work with us — your brand on the outside, our production on the inside.
